Vick?s dog fighting conviction will follow him for the rest of his life, but does that mean he doesn?t deserve a second chance?
In 2007, former Altanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick was convicted of running a dog fighting ring. He was sentenced to nearly two years in prison. For his crime, one of the NFL?s most recognizable players rotted in prison, suffered public humiliation and the loss of his fortune. If you followed the story, you remember the cruelty of Vick?s actions. What he did was evil. He demonstrated an indifference to suffering that shocked the conscience.
