Hello folks,
Just wanted to let you know that myself and Rachel Jackson (my dear friend, campaign manager & comrade in Green work here in Oklahoma) were interviewed today by a reporter from the Oklahoma News Report (a program on OETA, Oklahoma’s PBS network). In the interview we talked about what it was like to be a Green in Oklahoma and the challenges that third parties face with Oklahoma’s undemocratic ballot access laws.
I don’t know if it will all make it into the segment, but I also got to talk some about my campaign and its main issues (civil rights, poverty relief, transportation alternatives and ballot access reform) and a little bit about my bicycle-oriented campaign.
Rachel shared some about the unique consensus-driven/anti-patriarchal approach of the Oklahoma Green Party and why it is important that we continue to have faith in the people of Oklahoma and their ability to shape their own destiny.
From what we understand the segment will air on Friday night at 6:30 p.m. on OETA (channel 13 in OKC, channel 11 in Tulsa, as well as other channels in other parts of the state) so please tune in.
Also if you have never seen the Oklahoma News Report before, I highly recommend it. It is much better than the network local news in OKC or Tulsa.
